Default Silicon Dream

Anybody else here a big fan of Silicon Dream? I wish they could have made more music, but the ones they made were awesome. Andromeda is the all-time classic (great video too). Also, Corleone Speaking, Time Machine, Einstein (Everything is Relatieve). I read an interview with the lead guy a while back and he's still making music!

Hi,

I did'nt know Silion Dream, so checked out their tunes at YouTube now, and have come to like them very much. Especially ''Andromeda'' sounds so poetic and cool to me.
I love eurodisco, italo disco and hi-nrg from the 80s in the first place Tnx for letting me discover them!

Oh great! Yeah, I love the intro too, "Colombus discovered America...the earth people discovered...the space! Where are the space indians?". That's the intro on the album before Andromeda. I listened to some Silicon Dream at work today. I just can't get over how cool some of those songs are. Well, great to see another Silicon Dream fan, I think that makes about 157 of us in the world.

Hi,

I think that German dance-oriented techno-pop groups from 80s such as Propaganda, Silent Circle, Camouflage, 16Bit, Off, Moskwa TV etc. have profpound sounds and lyrics on the whole. I have some of their albums and always enjoy listening to them, but Silicon Dream is totally new to me.

By the way, I found the PVs by Silicon Dream interestingly funny, which adds some extra enjoyment to their unique sounds, I suppose Their CDs seem very rare now, so I will look for used records sooner or later.

I remember these guys. They definitely have been pretty influential on some of the newer ital-disco bands like Glass Candy and Chromatics.

Alright, we're having a little Silicon Dream revival here. Wouldn't it be great if they would put out a new song after all these years like Laszlo just did? That really gave me a lot of hope right there because I didn't even know what Laszlo was doing, and then he comes out with a single for the first time since 1992, and a really good one at that. He didn't sell out a bit, pure 80s italo disco sound. Well, the odds are long, but Time Machine, that's a hidden gem of an album right there and unfortunately their only album.

Hello Guys,

I'm a fan of Silicon Dream too :-)

Did you know the productions from Klaus Munzert?
There are a lot of musics with SD "touch" like:

01) Manzerata - Baby Baby Hear My Heartbeat... Mi Corazon,
02) Departure - Rendezvous And A Flirt With You
03) Mega - You Got A Bausparvertrag???
04) Dino - Rendezvous (The Fire Is Burning)
05) Marcello - Una Festa Sui Prati (Ja Ja Ja)

If you like SD, you will like those too
