What is this??? Some kind of revisionist history???? Have the LePage's been reading our snarky posts????

Don't spoil all my Denis & Denyse jokes by telling me they never sang that shit. I will not be silenced.

The last I heard of Roni Griffith was that she had gone born-again and left the industry.....this would have been when she was still with Vanguard.

Amanda Lear was recently on tv being interviewed about her brand new book "Mon Dali". She's eternal, Amanda.

Default Where is STOP

I wonder where STOP (who made the title "REndezvous") are today, or what they are doing today. I don't know if it was one person or a group.

Another thing someone can help me with, for years and years I keep getting conflicting facts about Lime, are they "Brother & Sister" or "Husband & Wife"

Eternally greatfull!
Hi there!

Lime are actually or were actually a four piece band of which the husband and wife team were a part, they had an album out a few years ago which if you go to amazon.co.uk you can find its title.

This is unbelievable but true. Right after their first album came out, I saw them perform live at a club in Miami - they were not lip synching and they sounded just like the record. Now here is the unbelievable part...........they were both black!

A year or two later I saw them at a club in Ft. Lauderdale and they were blond-haired, blue-eyed all American looking!

Denis and Denyse Lepage sang on all their records but never went on tour. The guys and girls who were performing as Lime on stage did sing live (no lipp-sync). The voices however were specially picked so that they sounded like D&D. A little bit like the Stars On 45-stuff.

I was wondering if it would get around to the fact that the LePage's were black. I have heard for years that they were husband and wife, and that both were black. It doesn't matter...

I saw the blonde hair/blue eyed creation that called themselves Lime in '84. They did an autograph signing at a record store in Atlanta before the show. I was so excited. When they walked in the door I walked up to the guy and said, in my nievity, "You must be Dennis LePage!". He said, "No, I'm...so 'n so." I then went up to the girl and said, "Well, then! You must be Denyse LePage!" To which she replied, "No, I"m...so 'n so." Then they quickly said that there were 4 of them in Lime, and that Dennis used studio wizzardry to blend all four voices to create the Lime sound. Yeah. Right! Well, I'm NOT dumb!

The show was weak, with the blondes singing over the top of the Lime tracks WITH the LePage's vocals being upfront and the blondes burried so far down that you could hardly hear them at all...which was a GOOD thing!!! I still love Lime, but hated to be decieved!

You can see the two blondes that traveled as Lime at the time on the cover of the Lime megamix.

Also, I thought I'd mention this...if you listen to Arpeggio's "Love and Desire", I believe the female lead to be Denyse LePage. I have just drawn this conclusion on my own, but you can hardly accuse anyone else of having a voice like hers. No factual info, just drawing my own conclusions. What do YOU think?????

Also, some info on Roni Griffith. Roni was from Bloomington Indiana, and I had a chance to see her at Talbott Street in Indianapolis Indiana back when the Best Part Of Breakin Up was a hot ticket item. The rumor then, even as she was performing, was that she had a hot-shot stud of a football boyfriend that didn't like her doing the club thing AT ALL...especially the gay clubs. He had given her an ultimatem that it was her career or him. I guess you see which she chose.

She did look really uncomfortable on stage doing her show...like the guys in the audience was going to jump up on the stage with her and rape her. As if......

I do remember the show, tho...pretty good for a track date.
