Great musician!

I as -say- 18 years, and the only thing I wanted was a painting, wall to wall of "fear"
To this day I still think it's one of the great bands ever.

What captured my attention in that interview was his band "Goblin" with whom I am absolutely not familiar. Here's the "Profondo Rosso" theme, sort of progressive rock but if you clear your mind and listen carefully, you hear the themes that Claudio later Discofied into tracks like "Capricorn" as a sort of evolution IMO. And, indeed, Claudio is a very talented musician.

(BTW, don't watch this clip if you just had a nice meal!)

The Goblin records was a pretty well kept secret for many years to most people except the ones of us who are into Italian horror cinema, cause they made mostly soundtracks. The only DJ's I've ever heard play Goblin tracks back in the days in their clubs were the Italians like DJ Mozart and Daniele Baldelli. Good lookin' out on this interview. I'm a big fan of Simonetti so I'm looking fwd to reading it. Thanks. :)

Superb interview. I'm a huge fan as well - even sat next to the man in London's now defunct Scala cinema during the 1989 Frightfest, watching "La Chiesa". - Easy Going, Discocross, Demoni ost, Remember and Love In Spain by Vivian Vee, Tenebre ost, brilliant stuff.
