Default Fighting for our lives

Paul first recorded this track in 1985 as Shiraz, Anne(Miss P) from Passion was reluctant to sign it because of the male vocals and accent (South African). Paul then met Cindy who sang with a covers band at Bellanapa in Johannesburg and People Like Us were born.As you all know she later re-recorded the track. My question is, is this 12" rare or do a lot of you's have copies?

I have a copy of "Fighting For Our Lives," but I don't know if this 12" is rare.
The cover version of "Deliverance" by Tom Carabba (produced by Fancy) on Hansa is rare in my humble opinion. I like this cover version a lot, and it has additional French lyrics in it (sung by a female vocalist).

I have the Shiraz 12inch as well. Just looked on Gemm and there is only one copy for sale at £89 so I guess it must be pretty scarce!

What label was this originally put out? My copy was released by Unidisc on the Edzna label. I've always thought this song was a Canadian production since Vince DeGiorgio mixed it.

Original was released on Jive Wire. I don't know if Degiorgio remixed later. I do know Paul Cossley and Vince were friends. He use to get a lot of free Power 12"s from him which he would then off load to me.
