Default What's the highest one's paid for a record?

As record collectors (which I know most of you are in here) what's the highest amount you've paid for a vinyl record? What title and where purchased– ebay, gemm?
A couple of years ago, I was hurtin’ when I spent more than $30 for a 1986 12” single titled: “You’re The Sun of My Life” by Nina Pee (EX/EX condition). Since then, the value of that title has soared in excess of $130-$200!

It's worth that much??

Wow, I'll dig out my copy and put it on EBay!!LOL

It's an OK track, but nothing special IMHO

I paid 50 pence for my copy!

Makes me wonder how many other of my 50p 'Spin Inn' bargains will help finance my next holiday!

Paid £62 for Mach - On & On 12" last week

Reputedly the first ever House record from 1980, but as it samples Funky Town's cow bells, it borders on hi-rng

*still waiting for it to come through the post tho*

I've never spent too much on an individual record as I usually just wait to see if I can find it cheaper. I think the most I paid was 30 some dollars about ten years ago for (of all things) the doublepack for the Trouser Enthusiasts Remixes of Dannii Minogue's "Everything I Wanted" b/w "Heaven Can Wait."

I tend to find most of my records at raesonable prices but I have paid more for the odd 12" that I just HAD to have..
I recently found a mint condition 12" remix of Padlock by gwen Guthrie, paid £15.00 for it.

Came across a Japanese import LP recently on e-bay.. Fancy (the best of) compilation album, won it for £20.00.

Remicks me ol pal - I do so hope it's gonna be worth it! The seller received a neg the very next day for non receipt of goods and now I'm worried.

(He also has another copy as BIN for £100, which was open at the same time as the seperate auction - most bizarre!) Pulled his details this morning and if my 12" ain't here by middle of next week, I shall pay him a visit in the middle of the night and shove a traffic cone up his jacksee

I recently won a copy of Escape From New York's - Fire In My Heart on Ebay for £75 which I was quite chuffed about as it's pretty rare on 12inch

Cool .. You must have really wanted it. What year was it originally released, was it on a small. obscure record label ?

Here's a link to it on discogs.

On a small French label I think so pretty scarce. Good moody electric funk tune
