Default Euro-NRG Top 40 chart

http://euronrg.eurodancehits.com/charts/chart0608.html

Does anyone play any of the selections on here other than what we already talked about (e.g. Carolyn Winters)?

I've heard a clip of "New Horizon" by John Parr vs Tommyknockers and I've heard Disco Deejay's "Stayin' Alive" and Supermode "Tell Me Why". I'd like to hear the Limahl song.

The only one that I play is Supermode's Tell Me Why. I wasn't quite sure how willing my crowd would accept this sampled Bronski Beat track but it's definitely become a floor filler. I now have guys less than half my age  coming up and asking what it is.

Limahl's Tell Me Why is a nice throwback to the Bad Boys Blue/ Blue System sound but not something that I would program to my crowd...purely for my home listening only. Kim Sozzi's cover of Heart's Alone is pretty good....although I pitch it down a bit.

The Pet Shop Boys Minimal is terrific! I play the Tocadisco mix early in the evening before the actual crowd is there but this is one of those songs that the more I listen to it, the more I'm loving it so I may just start to promote it a bit more.

Missing on this chart but certain to be added is the Eric Kupper and Richie Jones mix of Beyonce's One Night Only...talk about re-living Giorgio Moroder and Patrick Cowley all over again...pure energy delight!

Beyonce's "One Night Only" is a remake of a 1984 song by Scherrie Payne.

It is also the song from DREAMGIRLS, a Broadway show that is coming out on film in December.

Beyonce is one of the leads in the film.

Surely it is a misconception that the vocals on Supermode's "Tell Me Why" are Jimmy Somerville samples? The phrase "Tell me why" is sung in the same way as the "To your soul" and "cry" phrases in "Smalltown Boy" are sung by Jimmy, but he doesn't actually sing these words in this style on "Smalltown Boy". I don't believe Supermode samples Jimmy at all!

It's a mashup of the instrumental from Smalltown Boy and the vocal sample from Why.

"Tell Me Why" Limahl's song is sensational........... Have done a little remix of it (Laszlo K "Why Why" Mix) on limewire :)

One of those songs where the hook gets stuck in your head.....

I really like the Limahl song too. Great return for him. Gunther's "Like Fire Tonight" is good too (though a bit cheesier than the Limahl).
