I didn't notice any Evelyn Thomas releases from the start of the 90's and on. 'High Energy' has been re-mixed so many times I've lost count....perhaps it was a need to hear your voice on the dancefloor.

Were you still involved with music in the 90's or trying new endeavours?

Hello Remicks
to answer your question about being in the studio with Ian Levine, Ian was and still is the most excitng producer to work with, He's very down to earth letting you know when you sound great, or if you sound like a cow, he is my favorate producer. The first cover Album was created the way it was because the record company did'nt like the photo's that were submitted. Love Evelyn Thomas

Maybe your Mom could also field some questions not presented right then.

For Evelyn Thomas : I know Ian Levine produced your first album as far back as 1978 ... so you must have had a long term friendship or at least a good long term working relationship with him to still be working together in the mid-80s. Can You comment about that and tell us more what it was like in the studio with him ???

THANK YOU !!!!
remicks

also the cover art for your first album .... how did that come about ???

a few questions from me
you sang background vocals on the exciters album - heaven is wherever you are

released in the u.k early 1976. other background singers included the ellington sisters [who had a great single on u.s r.c.a around that time]also in those sessions that will interest many here was on keyboards, vibes and percussion non other than patrick adams!
in 1977 herb rooney released an album on the exciters [self titled] in the u.s that contained 2 tracks from that first album reaching for the very best [name change from original reaching for the best] and suffering they are different mixes for the u.s, now whats odd about this theres no credits to anybody except himself, no ian levine no evelyn, i think this album is quite rare as ive only ever seen a couple of copies, my question is do you know about this release?

sorry about my bad photos.
question 2
are you aware that your and l.j's top of the pops appearances are available [though dubbed]
question3
are you still in contact with ian/danny leake/l.j and barbara?
question 4
do you remember those northern clubs ritz [manchester] wigan casino etc and what are your memories of them, i met you at the ritz,i was the handsome one
boy am i gonna be sick at work tonight knowing you are here

I am currently working with Rick Gianatos on some projects - have you worked with him?

Thank you.

Evelyn,

Could you please give us a bit more info on how you began working with Ian Levine and why were you so popular first in the UK? Thanks.

Hello
I met Ian in chicago Ill, through a band member named Pumpkin who was auditioning for a recording contract with Ian Levine,Ian loved Pumpkins vioce but for som reason didn't hire Pumpkin. Pumpkin begged me to audition for Ian, so i asked Ian wouldn he listen to me and Ian turned me down. It wasn't untill Danny Leak convinced Ian to listen to me that i had the chance to sing for Mr Levine, after singing Neither One Of Us by Glayd's Knight Ian jumps up off the couch and offered me a recording contract, the reason why i became better known in th UK is because that's where i recorded my first hit Weak spot hitting the charts at # 5 i was asked to do Top Of The Pops TV show which triggered many other opportunities in the UK.
