Ones I hated were the Ian Levine songs, and Seventh Avenue as well.

Barbara Doust - If You Loved Somebody - I know this was big, but it didnt do nothing for me.
I do like that Babs Doust track but the Levine remix is pretty lame...

as of the last few years, the one hi-nrg resord I hate is actually "So Many Men" by Miquel Brown. I know it's place in history and did like it at the time but overplay has killed it for me.

I'm pretty sure if I was to be played some of the songs you all refer to then I would say there was actually a worse record!

toto - that's a problem we all share!

hence me including DOA - You Spin Me Round (and round and round and round and round) yawn.

Same with Male Stripper - great when it came out, but OMG how many times a week did we hear it!!!

I have to say I also loathe.............

Eastbound Expressway - Frantic Love & You're A Beat. Talk about money for old rope / flogging a dead horse etc etc.

3 hi-nrg tracks I don't like off the top of me head -

'It's Raining Men' - Weather Girls (never liked it)
'If You love Somebody' - Barbara Doust
'These Boots Were Made For Walking' - Man to Man with Jessica Williams (both great artists but what happened here??!! :o :( )

Shrill desperation? My dear remicks, surely you mean kitchen sink drama. The divine Ms.D does it so well IMO.

I knew the end was near when Probe kept flogging Stacy Q's revolting TWO OF HEARTS played at +6 on the Technics turntables for ultimate Speed Queen enjoyment--it was time to retire the dancing shoes and just stay home and watch "Saturday Night Live."
  :x

Not sure if this would be classified as disco or Hi-NRG, but "Hills of Katmandu" never did it for me. It sounds like someone had a bad acid trip and decided to record it.

LOL-You didn't even know it until I put it on a CDR for you ! Did Ian tell you he didn't like it? Is that why YOU don't like it? LOL ! When these records came out you were nowhere near them - you were pissing people off somewhere else just like you've pissed people off everywhere ....and according to what you said to me once you were 'beating up people who looked like queers' !
