"Roses" by Sis Haywoode was a big dance + pop hit here in the UK in the summer of 1986. I just wondered how popular it was in the States/Europe at that time.. Does anyone rememver it ? She had some lesser "follow up" hits with "getting closer" and "Can`t let you go"

Roses was played a lot on the radio over here back then. So was "You Better Not Fool Around" and to a lesser extent "I'm Your Puppet".

Haywoode's ARRIVAL is a fantastic album! "Single Handed" is another gem while "Getting Closer" and "You Better Not Fool Around" are two of Stock/Aitken/Waterman's best songs. The only dud is her remake of Prince's "I Wanna Be Your Lover" -- quite tepid compared to the original. Here's her official site: http://sidsoundz.com

Found this album at the record store a couple of days ago.. Really love this album! Somehow I thought the LP would be entirely produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, but the two tracks they did are great, as is the rest of it. I don't think there's a track on this album that I don't like.. This one's officially on my CD reissues wish list :)
