remicks,

How about adding the point totals for each record? :-?

Why don't you do this for other artists? Maybe just a Top 5 for those with fewer "hits" than HRH Donna. :D (Like your "fave" Evelyn "Champage" King!!!--you could do a Top SONG (singular) for her; ditto, Cheryl Lynn!!!) :P

Or you could do one of those "poll" things--never figured out how that works myself. It seems like I tried to do it and failed--but then... it's a misty water-colored memory at this point.

Default Thanks Remicks

That is pretty interesting. thanks for the Top 10. Kinda sad that "Dim all the Lights" is not top 10. Hopefully it's #11.

Wow...This is interesting...I've always loved Donna's "I Feel Love"...However, I don't remember this song as being a favorite song that 1977 kids liked to dance to. I remember many thought it was too fast, long, and monotonous...Personally, I really liked it...Perhaps a bit ahead of its time though... Take Care.... Mario 8)

I pretty much agree with the list as far as my tastes go. 'I Feel Love' can never get all the respect it deserves IMO. If anyone feels the 12" is monotonous and too long, stick with the album version (5:52 or so). There's nothing new in the extended version, just plain repeats. In fact I've played around with 30 minute + versions of it before just for fun and editing practice, and still didn't get bored 8)

I used to love 'Dim All The Lights' until I heard Laura Branigan's version and thought "Good lord, this is a stupid and repetitive song!" So I listened to Donna's original again and sure enough, too repetitive, but disguised well.. however Laura really ruined it for me (I still love you Laura, RIP). For a real shocker, listen to the extended version (on Dance Collection and Bad Girls Deluxe). Talk about repetitive.. and horribly edited, in fact all extendeds from that album suffer the same problem with the exception of the title track, though it still has one bad edit.

Speaking of edits, 'Try Me' is way too long on the album, way too short in single form... great song though, just requires some tightening.

It's been several months since this was compiled and there are many newer members ... as well as older ones that didn't submit , so I thought I'd bring it back up in the hopes that there'd be some renewed interest.

Also .... if someoe wants to suggest the next act to rank ... say for an "official" TOP 5 list ..... let's do it !! I'll keep score .... :D

For now though , here's the current assignment .... list your TOP 10 Donna Summer songs in the precise order of pleasure .

Easy enough !! :)

.....or is it ??

Default I'm a bit disappointed that people choose

her best know songs. I love many Donna Summer songs that are not well known. Examples: "Can't We Just Sit Down (And Talk it Over?)", "The Only One", "Wasted", "One of a Kind", "Love's Unkind", "Cold Love", "Now I Need You", "I Remember Yesterday".....

Rank 'em up OSF .....your faves are your faves !! :D

Just keep in mind that the idea is to come to a group agreement as to what were Donna's very best contributions .... The # 1 on thru to # 10 ...
