SALSOUL: Don't leave me this way

Just sharing ...... :D ..... for those of you who relish Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me This Way " like I do .... dig out your Salsoul Orchestra's "UP THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD " LP/CD and listen to the end of side one "Tonight" and on out .... I hadn't played this in a long time and had forgotten how jammin' this piece is ..... great romp paying total tribute to "DLMTW" complete with the "waa-waa ! --- waa-waa! " horn blasts throughout ... ( I wonder why other disco songs didn't explore that great sound further? ) ...This is as lively as you could ever hope The Orchestra to get ( never once coming up for air ), with excellent super busy xylophone and bongos throughout. Gamble & Huff raised a notch ... two notches .... Salsoul style ... :D ..this should have been a 12" extended release & regrettably fades out way too early on the LP.........(too bad this is one that got lost amongst the glut) .... Had a rough day? Put this one on !! :D :D
