Default caribbean and west african music

hi, anyone out here know a few of the lesser known tracks that are from the caribbean or west africa or cuba that have a 4/4 beat? i have some tasty french african records that mix perfectly with disco.. i dont really have a name for this type of music, it sounds somewhat like soca, but different. :)

Soca and Merengé are from the Caribbean islands. Zouk or Zoukous (I may have spelled them incorrectly) are from the West African parts of the globe. They all have a pumping 4/4 beat which is highly accessible to any disco-heads.

I love a list like this that doesn't crystallize anything, but throws up more styles than you can shake a stick at.

Here are some that might fit:

Manu DiBango - Big Blow
George Duke - Brazilian Love Affair
Sadao Watanabe - Orange Express (Japanese, but hey!)
Eddie Russ - Zeus
MSO - Columbia
Onward International - A Foot In The Door
Thunder Thumbs & The Toetsenman - Freedom
Ralph McDonald - Calypso Breakdown
Spyro Gyra - Morning Dance (very tropical sounding)
Kid Creole & The Coconuts - Annie, I'm Not Your Daddy
Willie Bobo - Always There
