It was either "She Blinded Me With Science" by Thomas Dolby or "Change" by Tears For Fears. Not sure which came first.

I'm not sure, but I think the first one I bought was Skip Mahoney & the Casuals - Running Away From Love on Abet Records.

I believe that the first 12" I had was Double Exposure - Ten Percent, but that was given to me.

Both were 1976.

Madonna - Like A Virgin  (I still prefer that mix too.)
and Prince - Purple Rain (purple vinyl, album version), bought at the same time. My plan was to buy Irene Cara - Flashdance... What A Feeling but they didn't have it anymore and I never saw it again. Took me 10 years to finally hear it. I'm very patient. 8)

Born in '63, I didn't have that much pocketmoney as a young kid so I mainly bought 7"s in the early seventies. But it all started in 1978 when I bought Supermax "Love Machine" and the second one was "Hot Shot" by Karen Young. Still love those beauties!

I think the first 12" I bought was Doctor's Orders by Carol Douglas about 1975-6-7? It's been so long I can't remember exactly.

T-Connection's 'Do What You Wanna Do' on TK. I was 12 & found it very exciting with those breaks & synth solos. :D
