| We've had many threads about disco instrumentals in the past and I for one have learned a lot. I general, I prefer the more jazzy takes on instrumentals though just a few for now...these are actually not that jazzy when it comes down to it. Van McKoy - Two Points Webster Lewis - On The Town Herbie Mann - Supermann Herb Alpert - Manhattan Melody Stanley Turrentine - Disco Dancin' |

| I love instrumental disco & jazzy disco, but my interpretation of instrumental is no or very little vocals & many of the tracks listed above (such as Fly Robin Fly & Cocomotion), brilliant as they are, tend to feature those lovely 'girly' unison vocals that characterised alot of classic disco material. It doesn't matter & it's pointless putting music into categories I s'pose so..... Some of my personal faves are: 'Feeling You' - LEB 'Open Up' - Chic 'Go Get It' - Metropolis 'Grooves' - Alec R.Costandinos (from Trocadero Bleu Citron soundtrack) Theme from The Deep - John Barry (inst.version of Donna's hit) 'Sexy' - MFSB 'Machine Gun' - Commodores 'Say You Will' - Eddie Henderson 'Ride the Groove' - Players Association 'Whistle Bump' - Deodato Theme fron Jaws - Lalo Schifrin 'Movin' - 400 Blows 'Pranian Man' - Prana People 'Pipeline' - Bruce Johnston 'Moon Boots' - ORS 'Disco Energy' - Universal Energy 'Beyond' - Herb Alpert 'Sea Hunt' - Patrick Cowley 'Lust' - Rinder & Lewis 'Freak On' - Lemon 'Thousand Finger man' - Candido 'Mysteries Of The World' - MFSB 'Dreamin' - Heath Brothers 'Summer Madness' - Kool & The Gang 'Jazz Carnival' - Azymuth |
