Seabiscuit In The Fifth - Belinda West. Hadn't heard this song in at least 20 years.

Well, I did very well in January and intentionally waited till now to respond because I had one more cd that came in 1/31/05.
That cd was is a dj promo cd with "Lovin Is Really My Game", the 12" version. I'm still auditioning it and aside from excess midbass boost, it sounds pretty good.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Brits really have an appreciation for music that the general population here in the states don't. I picked up 2 cds that are British based. One from Vox, some kind of promotional cd. I originally purchased it to get Time Of The Season. To my pleasant surprise the cd also had the extended version of Bus Stop. The other cd is Soul Spectrum: Radio Sessions . Bought it to get 9 minutes of Runaway Love. Also got with it as a nice bonus Act Like You Know which is not on the Best of Fat Larry's Band cd I have. And finally, I must have as many Diana Ross music as Marky now. :D I had to replace my 12" Boss cause it has turned up missing. Anyway I bought the remastered(?) Boss cd. A bonus track on that cd is the original 12" release of that song.
I guess I made out and I didn't spend a whole lot of money.

Paul: Is that the Fatback's Bus Stop or (it can't be true, so it won't be  ) Oliver Sain's? What's the name of the CD?

Looks like I'll have that CD with Brainstorm tomorrow or the nest day. Mastermix Classics Vol. 8 and I picked it up for $9.00.

Hey Quinny, it's Fatback's Bus Stop. When I get home I pull the cd and give you the proper name for that cd.
I'm gonna look for the Mastermix Classics right now. Thanks. :D

OK Quinny, here's the info on the cd.

those boogie knights & disco divas
a '70s urban soundtrack
VOX ACE 98
1998 VOX Magazine/IPC Magazines Ltd

There are 23 tracks. In addition to what I mentioned, it includes:
Joe Simon - Get Down, Get Down (Get On The Floor)
Isaac Hayes - Ike's Mood
The Blackbyrds - Rock Creek Park
Little Richard - The Girl Can't Help It
The Teen Queens - Eddie My Love

Paul: I knew it rang a bell somewhere. I already have this CD and only bought it for Bus Stop, which I already had on LP. Personally, I've always preferred the UK 7" version (presumably the same as the U.S one) of the tune.

Fatback's entire Raising Hell album which includes Party time is great. It's available on a Southbound CD which is in its second pressing.
PS: Musique stole that Party time riff for "In the bush".
