Default ARTIST SPOTLIGHT #18 - EDDIE KENDRICKS

One of the most recognizable voices in music history.... Eddie sings in a faulsetto range that he can call his own. My favorite songs by him:

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'
BOOGIE DOWN
GET THE CREAM OFF THE TOP
SHOESHINE BOY
HAPPY

I love all Eddies' stuff, after "Girl you need..." (seminal disco!) and "Get the cream off the top" (semenal disco!) my favourite favourite is "The Thin Man" from the Boogie Down LP.
Also love the Paul Lewis (great arrangement/mix) and Began Cekic (medleying into Bra/JB) versions of "Girl you need..."
P.S.
Any of you guys know who did the mix of "Date with the rain" with the thunderstorms etc. on Duotone?
