An Intimate Evening with Miss Ross

November 8 at the historic Pantages Theater on Hollywood Blvd. here in LA. :D :D :D :D :D

I've got a ticket!!!! My very own DIVA Miss Livvy & I will be attending. Miss Livvy wants to wear a Ross-like wig--but I told her the people sitting behind us may try to rip it off. She may have to get out her knife!!! Yikes!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Any word on what's she's doing? I haven't seen any buzz about this tour....BUT the Pantages is very close to me and NOT an ARENA...so I'm hoping it will be a TRUE RETURN TO FORM for MISS ROSS.

Mark, she's also going to be in a smaller theater in Marin. Well that is if she doesn't cancel again!

Hey Marky, the last time I saw a gay man excited about a woman the way you are was 20 years ago. I used to usher part time at the Opera Company of Boston and Bette Midler showed up. Talk about excitement :D
I just hope she shows up. I'd hate to see with a bad attitude around here :lol:

As I said when I first saw the ad in a paper in SF: I suspect the promoters are planning "intimate" shows because they're not sure Miss Ross can sell many tickets these days! At least they learned something from that ill-fated Supremes reunion tour!

But OK, I'll admit it: If she comes to Pittsburgh, I'm there. :roll:

PAUL miss ross had a reputation here for not showing this topic reminded me, back in the late 70s she was due to call into radio picadilly in manchester, they made a big deal of it and named it diana ross day so i thought id tune in,they played her records all day it got to early evening and i was thinking where is she.it got to 7 or 8p.m and james stannage came on the air put a ross record on and next thing scrrrrrrratch the arm went right across it and james said 'its not diana ross day and it never will be diana ross day the old slag never turned up'

I noted every song sung and every change of gown--but I first did a search & then I went back to the end of 2004 posts and I couldn't find it. I thought I woulda just added it to this thread.
