| I realise that those of you in the U.S.A. might have chosen a different track by Miss Lynn, but this was the one that gained the most acceptance on a world wide basis (so far as I am aware). It just happens to be a record that is probably more liked now than it ever was BITD (...how odd?) and appears on countless playlists and compilations. One record that I will NEVER tire of. It's just almost perfect in my book. Discuss, drool, spit or dampen.[/b] |

| Nothing wrong with this choice Quinny. Perhaps my favorite from Miss Lynn, it was probably her biggest club hit here. By the way, this song was also popular among rappers before the genre started. I had many friends from the Harlem area who spun records and would rap during the intro and in the middle where the instrumental break came in. I still remember one intro rap that went something like: If what you feel is mighty real then mighty real is what you feel! ...

| Change this topic in records we ADORED :D, certainly for this one. This is another one of those records that are made in heaven and never, and I mean never get boring. And now you all have to watch "Carlito's way" where Al Pacino (respect) goes into the nudebar and discovers that is girlfriend is a stripper. And which song is playing during the crucial eye-contact and when he looks at her talents? Have a guess!!! RIGHT :o |

| Well, I can tell you this, after hearing GOT TO BE REAL more than a million times (!), I can say that I 'm pretty tired of it. I'd rather listen to SHAKE IT UP TONIGHT or GIVE MY LOVE TO YOU (my favorite record by Cheryl). It is a pity that a singer so talented must be remembered for just one song. Peace, zeca azevedo, shakin' up today |

| The style and sound is almost timeless. Even though it is highly associated with the disco era.It could have well made the grade if it had debuted today.

| I personaly can no longer even stand that song. But I will say I can tolerate it and not cringe and scream "TURN THAT SHIT OFF!" like I do with bout 95% of mainstream disco stuff. By far "Shake It Up Tonight" is my pref for Cheryl and i'll always love that track and it brings back tons of good memories. BTW, "Carlito's Way" was a solid film and well, me and my old friend used to quote lines from that movie like a song anywhere we'd go when it was out LOL

| I still remember it being the B-side of "Star Love", and not playing it until I had almost burned out that song. |
