Default Sesame Street Fever ULTRA RARE INSTRUMENTAL DISCO MIX VERS!

Hey all, im wondering if anyone here and I mean anyone could help me locate a copy for sale of this obviously obscure gem imported from canada!

http://cgi.ebay.com...

I bid and lost last min on ebay by a buck

There were sound samples on the auction which I managed to steal off there so at least I have proof of this exsisting. It sounded damn solid!!!!!! This is a must have for any disco fan and collector and I must get a copy somehow, someway! Basicly the entire LP, all instrumental remixed versions and a few nice 12'' disco mixes from the sounds of it all. Help, anyone?

Jimmy

I remember almost buying that LP BITD just for the sheer novelty value. Always loved The Muppets, though Sesame Street passed me by.
I do have Rubber Duckie on a 7" somewhere. Used to play it once the party was over. It normally did the trick of clearing the joint and leaving the punters with a smile on their face.

Jimmy: To be honest I can't be sure whether it was the original LP or the remixed one. I'd guess it was the original one, but on seeing the artwork on the website, the memory of knowing that LP, of laughing out loud at the piss take they did of SNF's cover came flashing back to me.

Yea musta been the regular version of the LP cause on this remixed version the cover only has the dancefloor on it with no muppets..probably cause theres no muppet vocals on this obscure one im after. I have a feeling that im never gonna find another copy of this again..damnn, 1 buck i lost by! That just pisses me off LOL

Jimmy, that was an awesome contribution to this board. I had no idea they had a remix. But I still prefer the 1979 "Sesame Disco" album. Still not available on CD? So many people want to buy it!

That auction seller Andrew Hepburn (andrew_hepburn) has a totally awesome collection of very obscure disco LPs in his for-sale collection, most with sound clips! Finally I got to hear L.E.B. Harmony (interesting), Top Secret (boring), more from the bad 1980 LPs by the Trammps, "In the Midnight Hour" by Samantha Sang, more from the lovely Heart & Soul Orchestra, "My Number's Up" and "Resorts International" by the Salsoul Orchestra (referenced almost nowhere on the Web, though mentioned in Jones & Kantonen's book), and the original of "No One Home" by Lalo Schifrin, etc. And I hadn't heard of the Simbora Orchestra or Marsha Hunt before. All thanks to you Jimmy for bringing my attention to that seller. Folks, check it out if you want to hear something you haven't heard before.

Yes looking at his stuff is how I came across that sesame fever disco mix LP. There has got to be another copy around somewhere in this world..this guy cant have had the only copy lol. As for "Resorts International", that actualy was one of my trademark tracks I used to play when I worked club boom in phoenix. Dont think theres a night I spun that I didnt fit it in the mix somewhere in the night But hell...someone locate a copy for sale of that sesame disco mix LP LOLLL. And no, none of the 2 Sesame disco albums are avalible on CD. They are long gone gems. There is a website actualy which is dedicated to both LPs..think its www.sesameseventies.com if I remember right..its been a few years since I been there. I do agree that the 2nd LP was wayyy better than the first..but from the sounds of this remixed version of the first, this may be a tad bit better and muppet free.

EDIT - link to sesame 70s dead, they musta got taken down, was an awsome site and nicely done and had both original LPs in full for download too..but thats history, 2 years damnnn..time flies
