| Well it's time for me to talk about disco again... Somehow I never realized that two Gino LPs have apparently the same track. S-Beat (1980) features his version of the Billy Withers tune "Love is". Then in Closer (1981) it pops up again. Apparently this one runs one minute longer (I don't have the LP). Was Gino suffering from writer's block? Or did he just re-cover this track? |

| I just pulled my albums and you're right, the track is on both. But, the version on 'Closer' is clocked at only 6 seconds longer than the one on 'S-Beat'. I would guess a "powers that be" decision put the song on both albums. If you think that's bad, check out my girl Anastacia's first two CDs, "Not That Kind" and "Freak of Nature". If I remember, there are at least two tracks appearing on both. |
