Default Funk Masters

hello, i was wondering if anyone could tell me something about this UK group, i'm having trouble finding info about them, all i know is their truly wonderful track 'It's Over' and i was wondering if they released anything else worth searching for, or maybe released under different names?

i think they released some stuff circa 1983? i wasn't even born yet then, so i know i got some catching up to do on some info, but i'm trying

Jarno, your search didn't turn up anything because you used "Funk Masters" instead of "Funkmasters." The search function can be pretty unforgiving so try variation in spelling, punctuation, substituting "and" for "&"... to find what you need.

thanks for the help so far, this article was interesting, but it doesn't mention anything about the 'It's Over' track, kinda logical maybe since it was mainly about the Love Money track, but still, it kinda sounded like it was a one track project for the producer.

Also, the Love Money track is from 1980 and the It's Over track is from 1983, so a little gap there, on the other hand, both tracks have featured on Street Sounds compilations, so are they by the same band/producer or not?

Hi Jarno: You mustn't have read the interview closely enough as 'It's Over' is briefly mentioned (go to the top of page 5). Another track, 'Fort Knox' is also mentioned, so I don't know how you came to the conclusion that it might be a one track project.

BTW Tony Williams can be heard on an almost daily basis on internet radio:
