I would really take the above site with a ton of grains of salt. It's simply the personal views of the owner, not historical, nor is it meant to be. The owner states: "This is an irreverent critique of electronic dance music." (Say, whaaat?) He goes on to say that it shouldn't be used as a resource since he "made most of it up".

Anybody who traces Disco coming from House :o is not to be taken seriously. But, to be fair, he does say his site is for 'entertainment only'.

Congratulations!

I really like the layout. Nice Idea!
A better domain would be nice, but not vital...

Lovely Greetings

Nice site. It was time someone did a map of all those post-disco strange style names (I never could go further than hiNRG myself). I just hope this guy is not chased by the "men in black" (like Bernie was in the past) looking for the rights of all those song samples. I guess the ".fm" part of the URL means it's an exotic, tax-free country...

I am with Nano on this.

All I could see happenning here in Rio de Janeiro clubs was DISCO, then HI-NRG and then HOUSE (or DANCE)... and I don't even know if they're the same thing.
Some say it is, some say it isn't...

Well... from 2000 onwards DEEP-HOUSE has become a bit popular here with a lot of domestic releases + import CDs found in many stores (NAKED MUSIC, COMFORT ZONE, DIMITRI FROM PARIS CDs, DEEP AND SEXY SERIES, etc...)

(In the link above, the guy says that CLASSIC HOUSE is now 40 years old !!!
That's my age!!!
