PS : I've already made Vinylmania in Carmine Street, there were some nice stuff but not really cheaper than shops in Paris so ...

Default Record shops.

If you're looking for cheaper; perhaps not in NYC. If you're looking for rarities, the Colony at 45th St. and Broadway has CDs (and I believe vinyl, still) that are as rare as they come, and the most knowledgeable staff in the biz.

I went to the Colony (on 50th and B'way) more than a year ago and to my knowledge, they didn't carry vinyl. They seem to be more into the sheet music-selling business than actual music.

Correct, as well as specializing in showtunes. Colony's days as a haven for dance music are long gone.
