Default Band member Richard Hilton disputed this

On July 12, 2004, Chic band member Richard Hilton indicated "This whole Luther idea is based on somebody misunderstanding something Nile said at the WAFF fundraiser. Nile is thinking about doing a "mash-up" mix of Everybody Dance and some other songs. Luther sang on Everybody Dance (the original record) and so therefore he would be "appearing" on the record, albeit from 28 years ago or so."

What Richard is saying is that this does not mean Luther is going back into the studio to record with Chic in the year 2004.

Regardless, the next Chic album should be something special.

So sad...I was really looking forward to a Vandross/Rogers collaboration

How is Luther doing anyway? I haven't heard much new lately.

We have to wait and listen. Now that many No-Talents loop the Chic-sound and pretend to be great writers I'm glad that the master himself is taking over again.

I last saw him perform together with Cerrone and his guitarsound was still excellent and tintillating.

BTW when I had my nephew listening to old Chic-stuff, he said "well those guys stole everything from Puff Daddy and Alcazar".

What is the world becoming to  EDUCATION!!!!NOW!!!

Musicology :D

Hey Videoskooter, gotta teach your nephew where those sounds really come from.I remember when i went to some Filtered-Disco-House sessions and thinking "i must be the only guy who knows were all this looped/smapled/filtered stuff comes from...

I remember also a radio playing David Bowie´s The Man Who Sold The World and a guy beside me saying "Damn, this guy made a cover version of Nirvana!"
Oh the ignorance of these people...
