| I'll start. ERUPTION: Despite sucking the absolute soul out of Ann Peebles "I Can't Stand The Rain" (and yet I still love their version), and injecting some Gladys-like oomph to Neil Sedaka's "One Way Ticket" (not to mention the criminally underrated title track to "Leave A Light"), they went pffttt and Precious never did much of note as a solo vocalist. Was Farian feeding the better material to Boney M (now there's a frightening thought - Boney M getting better material -"Sunny", "Painter Man" and "My Friend Jack" nonwithstanding). So what happened? Ditto Amii Stewart. And a case can also be made for Cheryl Lynn.

| Cheryl Lynn......now ya talking!! :) I had had my way, she should have been a huge star! She was so much more than just "Got To Be Real" Encore, I Just Wanna Be Your Fantasy, Change The Channel, If You Were Mine....the quality songs are countless! Another one would be Tawatha Agee who was in Mtumes band and sang on Juicy Fruit, You Me & He a.o. Why her solo career never took off is beyond me  |

| Precious Wilson (from Eruption) did a great cover of an old Solomon Burke soul song called "Cr-Cr-Cr-Cr-Cry To Me" or something like that. (can't recall how many "Cr-"'s were in the title) Early 1980s..Import. Look for that. BTW: I didn't know that "One Way Ticket " was a Neil Sedaka song. I've always loved that record!!! That was their best.

| ....and to elaborate.... Precious wilson also released a damn fine self-titled LP in 1986 on Jive. Excellent tracks include "I'll Be Your Friend" and "Love Can't Wait" A fine piece of mid 80s soul if there ever was one. Oh...and she did "Jewel Of The Nile" too  |

| Some of us were glad that the Eruption was short lived. To be fair, in picking I Can't Stand The Rain I think their producers were incredibly clever and I do thank them to some extent, for bringing this song to a wider audience. However, nothing could ever come close to Ann Peebles. |
