| I've been doing research for a certain board member (who shall remain nameless)and I've been forcing myself to watch some Al Parker porno from the late'70's-early 80's. I recently watched "Turned On" and was surprised to hear a WELL-KNOWN disco tune displayed very prominently on the soundtrack. NAME THAT TUNE.

You don't really expect us to believe that you had to "force" yourself, do you? Anyway, to get sort of back on-topic... I've heard loads of commercial (although not mainstream) music used in pornos. Tangerine Dream, Robert Schroeder, Kitaro, Klaus Schulze... and I would be very surprised if the music was used with permission. Except, of course, for the German 70s erotic film "Body Love", for which Schulze released not one, but two soundtrack albums... and they're two of his very best albums, I might add. |

| "Yes", Graham, I repeat, "YES"--I had to be FORCED to watch Al P. PORNO!!!! Strapped in a chair and my eyelids propped open like in, was It "A Clockwork Orange"? Oh, wherefore art thou, Boodi? No, seriously...nice try on your guesses, nrgbeat...BUT you are WRONG!!!!!!! (I just listened to Queen Samantha's "Close Your Eyes", BTW--and NOW I'm listening to a newly restored Bionic Boogie "Hot Butterfly" CD that appeared in my mailbox on Saturday. Thanks to you-know-who.) One member of this forum will know the answer to this question, I'm pretty sure--but he be gone til maybe tomorrow. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!! Now I don't know if the producers of the porno paid royalties to the producer of the record--HE was a BIG OLE QUEEN, BTW...so maybe AL did him a "favor", if ya get my drift. Previously, I maintained that the music in old porn was mostly generic rip-off sound-alike stuff. I swore to some guy that the song in the early bar scene of the Gage Brothers "L.A. Tool & Die" was ersatz (that's fake, kids) Giorgio Moroder. In reality, it WAS "Baby I Love You" by Easy Going. So I learned a little lesson on that one. _________________ Make My Feet Wanna Dance! | I just read on the internet about Al Parker. He was only 40 yrs old when he died of AIDS. He was a nice looking guy too. It mentioned that he had his foreskin reattached. Ouch!!! |

| the first time I ever heard the medley from the first Munich Machine album (B side to Get On That Funk Train) was nearly 20 years ago as the soundtrack to a porn film. I later discovered that the medley had not been commissiioned for the film (which I niaively believed at the time) and got hold of a copy. I cannot listen to it without picturing some of the images! |

| No, Nicky. I'm talking about the Producer of the record, not the artist. And, incidentally, YOU have met this person.

| Jacques Morali? I was going to guess either him, Sylvester, or Patrick Cowley, but you just narrowed it down considerably... |

But that song isn't all that well-known, so I'd have to go with some number by the Village People... "San Francisco" or "Macho Man" would be quite well suited... |
