| hey guys, i didn't mean to upset anyone! i just used those words to represent the attitude that hiphoppers use on those hiphop forums. I find the slang language that they use very funny, but never take it seriously! I guess i had to much fun enjoying those ALI G shows recently. You see, myself i'm no hiphopper at all when it comes down to attitude. But I do like the music (not the typical gansta shit). and then mostly just the music (the beats) and not the rappers (the words). Because to me musically hiphop, funk, disco, house are all related in a certain way. It all comes down to a certain groove that all originated in a black spirit! So i wasn't really offending any gay people on this forum! I was just laughing at the way certain hiphoppers see gay people. And in fact, there are gay hiphoppers, its just not common. So again sorry if i offended anyone! I guess that for expressing my words, my english is not as good as i thought it was! nuthin but a belgian thing going on! 808 |

| Come to think of it, you're right, there aren't many female members on this board for some reason. The only ladies I know of on this board are Leanmean (she hasn't posted in a while), Boodikka (She's just left because of the awful arguements that have been happening on this board), and Hustlebaby (who is still posting on the board), they are the regulars on the board that I know are female. There are a lot of other non-regular members joined up to this board that only make posts once in a blue moon, so I guess there are more female members joined up. It would be nice to get more ladies joining up. If I ever meet a girl who likes 70's disco I'll encourage her to join up to this messageboard. |

| Nonkel808, I remember when I found this website one night and as I was browsing, I've noticed that the majority of the members were male. But it didn't sway my decision to become a member. One of the reasons why I like this website is because most of the members are men. Like Funky Dude said every once in awhile, a woman may post a topic/message and then disappear. We haven't heard from LeanMean in months and Boodikka left so it seems like I'm the ONLY regular female member on board. Unfortunately all of my friends like todays music so they won't find this webpage as pleasurable as I do. P.S - How did you come up with that name? *DISCO DELIGHT* |

| Nonkel808, I don't think you're going to find any hootie in here. Most females you'll find here are not of the "straight persuasion". |

| Well, NONKEL808, FANTOMAS has already made the assumption you're trying to get laid and don't want to interact with any lesbians. I do hope you can "find your hootie" soon.

| Hey, it is interesting that for all the resident "fags", "queers", "homos", ...OK, "GAYS" on the board...that we don't have a coterie of "hags" to complement us. I mean who else danced with all the fat chicks at the high school dances? And everyone knows that the "Hot" straight girls all have their gay boyfriends to hang out with and commiserate with over those nasty straight men. (And to give them styling and taste tips, of course). OK, people I'm being facetious (look it up).

| Oh, Marky. Those straight gals who we drank with and danced with (until they--or we--got married and/or until dance music started sucking so badly that no one could dance to it but drugged-out klub kidz... uh, sorry...) ...those women don't care about the music--especially the divas--the way we do (not that there's anything wrong with that It's a gay thang.

| I don't think that NonKel808 was looking to get laid, he's was just interested in chatting with a female who share the same musical taste. Oh by the way, I'm straight. Marky, you've made some interesting points regarding the relationships between straight women/gay men. We tend to have great relationships because: 1.Sometimes we're(women)so tired of the machismo bullshit. 2.Gay men like to shop WITHOUT complaining! 3.We can get honest and good opinions about fashion and men in general. 4.Sometimes we want a male buddy to hangout with who can keep his hands to himself and not on our thighs. There are certain things that we can do with our male buddy that our boyfriend/husband may find boring, sissified or useless. Its like Charlotte and her male friend(I forgot his name) on "Sex & The City". *DELIGHTFUL* |

For the record, I always assumed you were the one straight female regular in this crazy cast of characters that we comprise here. When Jeff first joined, I wrote out a thumbnail stetch of the "regulars" so he could figure out who every one was and looking back at it now, the breakdown was as follows: Lesbians = 2 Straight Women = 1 Gay Men = 9 Straight Men = 10 This was in January and MOST of those folks are still regulars. Lotsa new folks have come on board in the ensuing months--but NO STRAIGHT WOMEN. Now in reference to "Sex And The City", a show I LOVE, Carrie's gay friend is Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson--straight in real life, I'm told, believe it or not) and Charlotte's wedding planner friend is Anthony Marantino (Mario Cantone, openly gay in real life). I love the interaction of these women with their gay friends. When they went to a gay bar to dance and escape the straight dating scene for an evening and Samantha crashed the "men's room" and was checking out all the guys as they did their business, it was hilarious. THEY RULE!!!! And, truth be told, the scuttlebutt in the industry is that they really are basically modeled after gay men cause the creators (Michael Patrick King, Darren Starr) are primarily gay. But the actresses and the writers are dead on in their depiction of the strange differences between gay men and straight men and the bonding done by straight women and gay men. In reality, I don't think I'm like either Stanford Or Anthony--too flaming for me. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT Ditto Emmitt on "Queer As Folk". And I'm certainly NOT Brian Kinney or Justin. Probably, I wish I were Michael, but in reality am Ted...and desperately trying NOT to be Uncle Vic!!!!!!!!!! Lord help me if I start dressing like Quentin Crisp!!!!!!!

| Hey Jeff. Let me enter confessional here. I must confess to being one of those straights who can't name much if any post disco Donna Summers songs. I wasn't into her pop/rock thang. Now, can I leave confessional with nothing more than a hand job Delight, I guess I'm one a dem guys with the machismo issue. To borrow a quote from G. Gordon Liddy, there something about the scent of a woman. If she has nice legs, oh baby. I just can't help myself
