Best and Worst disco cover version

I think my favourite disco cover is For your love by Chilly, especially the 14 min+ For your love Suite on the album

.
This track really builds & flows well & never outstays its welcome, unlike some mega-extended disco tracks.
It's been the basis for a couple of house covers recently too & not a lot was updated.

I never realized For Your Love was a remake until I heard the original years later. I thought the Chilly version was great. I must have played the 45 a thousand times. I should get the album and listen to the 14 min+ suite.

Played it over the weekend & it actually clocks in @ just under 12 mins, not 14+ as I originally stated - though that's still about 3 mins longer than the UK 12"

The album's definitely worth checking out, Dance with me is another favourite track of mine.

IMO «Fever» was butchered twice during the disco era: by Isaac Hayes and Madleen Kane.

Best: every cover by Esther Phillips, Gloria Gaynor and Linda Clifford.
