Default Choonz U hated the 1st time.

"Summer Groove" The Jones
"Every Way But Loose" Oness Of Juju

When I first heard the two releases above back in '81, I really hated 'em for some reason. But when I heard 'em again about a decade later, I thought "They're not that bad y'know."

What are yours?

If I hate a record it tends to stay hated! I could never be as fickle as you, Buckaroo! (joke)

In all seriousness, I guess almost any record can get under ya skin, if ya play it enough times, except in my case at least, I could never like certain producers' works (do I need to spell them out?).

I'm trying desperately to think of a few that I'd rejected previously that I now think are OK. Hmmm..................

Maybe:
Give Me love - Cerrone - the intro anyway, before the cutesy girlie singing
Ain't no Stoppin' Us Now - McFadden & Whitehead - I'm sorta half accepting this now, but still like Jocko more
Spacer - Sheila B Devotion - I still hate the voice, but the backing track must be one of Chic's best

I quite liked McFadden & Whitehead's anthem. And "Spacer".
BTW Quinny, you've made the classic mistake that a lot of folks do. It's Sheila B & Devotion. A lot of people forget about the boys who accompany her. I agree with you about her vocal though. It's tad ropey.

Heh-heh! Go, Bernie!

'A tad' means 'a bit' and 'ropey' means 'below par/substandard'. :D

It is both, depending on where and when the record in question is from. I have two Sheila albums, one has the "&", the other does not. One disc is a French copy, the other American, but I can't remember which is which.

Add I'd never be as pedantic!

Ooh, that ampersand has a lot to answer for. I think my 12" just has Sheila B Devotion, although I always knew it was Sheila & B Devotion.

Dear Friends!
There´s really a lot I don´t like such:
1)GEORGE BAKER SELECTION"Paloma Blanca"
2)BONEY M."Rivers Of Babylon"/"Brown Girl In The Ring"
3)I really hated such monster-combos like STYX, REO
SPEEDWAGON, FOREIGNER, ASIA, SUPERTRAMP or
ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA...co-called dinosaur-rock!
4)Every song of OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN except maybe
"Xanadu" or "Magic".
5)DOLLY PARTON´s "9 To 5"
6)Mostly every song of CULTURE CLUB(some exceptations
are the rule like "War Song" or "Move Away").
7)A big list of ABBA like "Waterloo", "Super Trouper" and
so many more...
8)PAUL YOUNG, GEORGE MICHAEL and WHAM...
9)The end of the HI-NRG-Era with PEPSI & SHIRLIE, RICK
ASTLEY, KYLIE MINOGUE, BANARAMA, SINITTA...
10)The CARPTENERS(!!!)
And this Hate-List could be continued...

Cosmic Love & Kisses From SIRIUS & DARKTUNES...

:o
You didn't like Foreigner? ("That was yesterday", "Waiting for a girl") Paul Young? ("Come back and stay" etc.) They produced some decent popular choonz. The Carpenters? Very successful...but too sweet even for me.

Kelis' new one didn't really tickle me at first. Nor did the video which she has paid for herself...But, it's a grower.

Xanadu??? Pepsi & Shirley??? Why did you have to remind us all of such crimes against humanity?

Be thankful that you don't have to read the lyrics of these songs in Look-In anymore.

At first I didn't like...

1) C'Moon And Dance by Liquid Gold (so different and the singer looks comboozelated :D ).

2) The Heart To Break The Heart by France Joli (so dramatic and unending). Tony Green was there again singing :D.

:D

SYLVESTER, DIVINE and ended with MEL & KIM, PEPSIE
& SHIRLEY, KYLIE and RICK...
