Ah remicks....don't think I didn't consider adding that info. :P :D

In fact, I still might...it's a "living thing"...it can be edited, right?

But, I didn't have time to get it together before last Saturday's/ Sunday's marathon typing session...also considered adding the producer credits....maybe next time ...or maybe later. :-?

(Problem was I had some of the info...but not all...especially the 45 timings...)

"Fans?"   :P

Jeez, other than "remicks"...it doesn't appear that anyone really cares about this stuff...... except for you of course, DD.

Well, I think I actually was just listening to the radio--we have a new station JACK (93.1 FM) here that plays all kinds of stuff--no restrictive playlists--this seems to be the new "trend."....so you may hear Toni Basil's "Mickey" next to "Stayin' Alive" next to "Hotel California" next to "Got To Be Real." That's what I recall I was listening to.

I know I heard "Dancing Queen" and the guy from STAR 98.7 (they were experiementing with this playlist stuff last weekend also) commented it may have been the first time the Bee Gees were ever played on STAR; they played "Copacabana" too.

It was a "cheesy disco" fest on FM radio. I stayed tuned to see what else they would come up with.

I love reading this thread and the new chart each time. I have the National Billboard disco top 20 somewhere for the period 1978 to 1981 and love reading about the earlier period I missed.

BIGGEST INJUSTICE(s)

The dismissal of KC & the Sunshine Band by NYC. They shoulda been among the Top contenders in all the categories for 1975...but NYC barely charted "Get Down Tongiht" (#146 for the year; 63 total points--only 14 from NYC). KC & crew deserved much better. "That's the Way (I Like It) fared somewhat better finishing at #53 mostly courtesy of LA and the guest city charts.

Also, in SF in 1975, the Three Degrees were heard everywhere...that seemingly didn't translate to NYC...where "When Wil I See You Again' only charted on D for 71 points to rank at #131; "I Didn't Know" got 1 mention to rank at #385 with 5 points. SF played both these and "Take Good Care Of Yourself" (didn't chart here) along with "Dirty Ol' Man" and "Year Of Decision" (the latter 2 released earlier than the chart period we've covered...but nevertheless, ALL STILL PLAYED ALOT!!!)

MY LEAST FAVORITE SONG OF 1975:

BABY FACE --insipid dreck inspired by the success of "Brazil" and it's countless imitators. Just my opinion. :P
Remember, "Blame It On 'BRAZIL' "....

OK...I have some more stuff...but I gots ta quit for today...

Next: Dave Marsh of Rolling Stone's fave singles from 1974-75

Then a look at how the dance music of the early Seventies did with the Grammy people....significant nominees & winners will be listed right here.... 1975 was actually one of the best years for "disco" at the Grammys. Quelle surprise!!! :P

That's what I recall I was listening to.

We have a station like this in my town too. I mentioned it in a thread.

Listening to it is like having your life pass before your eyes.

Wow Marky, you are going all out, :o You've got more details here than I ever thought possible :D Maybe you should publish your own "Disco" trivia book, I'd buy that one for sure :)

It is actually shorter @ 2:55, I was just cleaning this label's "white out" markings and ruined it! ARRRGH! :x :( :(
