Default Awesome new disco compilation

Just purchased an awesome new 4CD set compiled by Dutch mixer Ben Liebrand. Really never ever seen so many real classic disco hits on one CD set! Liebrand added comments on his website (http://www.liebrand.nl/grand12/index.html) for each track which is strangely enough missing on the actual CD set, but nevertheless worth every penny.

Ridd,

this is a very good compilation of original & dub versions covering 70's-90's.... There's a few on here that I don't have like GONZALES to name one... :)

Interesting compilation indeed! Although I have a good portion of these tracks...but my most important question would be: Is it UNMIXED????

Nice enough comp. I'm not going to verify all the time signatures but I did see one error right away:

PATRICE RUSHEN - FORGET ME NOTS: The 12" on Elektra runs 7:11, not 4:43. Does the CD say if it's giving 'full length' versions or edits and very important to me, as Art mentioned, is it UNMIXED?

I kinda would like to know that if it's mixed also... but those times indicate that it isn't mixed.. but I could be wrong... and Nicknack is correct because I remember the 12" being over 7 minutes long.

If Ben Liebrand is behind this released this box set, surely it must be mixed together. That guy really was europe's most famous remixer/megamixer back in the 80s/early 90s.

All tracks on this CD box unmixed.

I have a German 12"-Single from "Forget Me Nots" which runs 4:42.
Maybe was there a different between US and European release. :-?

All tracks are unmixed (!) which to me makes the compilation even better. I may have done some wrong typing due to the small figures on the actual CD sleeve (McFadden & Whitehead run time should have been 7'59") but if you follow the link mentioned earlier you can check the actual run times of each track as they are.

Thank's for the tip. I've just ordered it although I have 3 out of 4 on vinyl already. Still worth it If the sound quality is as good as he indicates ("finding the best masters") My own vinyl rips sounds better than most things I've found on cd:s.
