Have you recently or ever bumped into anyone who marched across your b... dancefloor or whatever back in the seventies? A few days ago I saw a strangely familiar looking figure approach me in the street. As our eyes met I realised this was the person we used to call - loosely translated - La Lewd. She was a regular who never missed a night, seemingly always dressed in an odd knit pullover sort of garment plus ultratight jeans. She would also sport a frizzy perm that looked as if it was floating inches above her head. La Lewd would either pick a guy up or dance by herself facing the audience, caressing her hips with both hands and rolling her eyes this way and that. If you danced close to her you could hear hissing sounds coming thru her rouged lips. This girl was the biggest Boney M fan, she kept coming up requesting Daddy Cool or Brown Girl In The Ring, as if the club in question would include those in it's playlist in 1979. - "Excuse me, did you not frequent the Rathskeller Disco during the late 70's?" I politely asked her. She gave me a puzzled look and nodded her head, hurrying away fast. She still had the perm, after all these decades - I quess if you find a good look you stick with it.
