Default Potential Disco Divas

Hello Everyone! I was just remembering a few disco ladies who I thought showed a lot of promise back in the 70s. But then, for whatever reason, they seemed to vanish into thin air! I remember a wonderful 12" disco record entitled:
24 Hours A Day by Barbara Pennington. You couldn't go into a disco back in 1976 without hearing that hypnoitic beat with the violins stretching to out do the oboe! I also remember "Stop! I Don't Need No Sympathy" by Alma Faye Brooks...And that wonderful disco album featuring the voice of Patty Brooks backed with the Simon Orchestra. Patty was "sooo" classy!!! Whatever happened to these divas? Why were their time spans such a flash in the pan? I always thought they were really quite talented!! Take Care, My Friends...Mario

Barba Pennington also put out some stuff in the 80s including "On A Crowded Street" in 1985 produced by Ian Levine (I think  )

Barbara did reunite with Ian Levine in 1984 for the Hi-NRG hit 'All American Boy' which appeared the following year on the 'Out Of The Darkest Night' album which also included the club hits 'On A Crowed Street' (very Dr.Buzzard-ish), 'Fan The Flame' and (hi-nrg hit) 'Vertigo'. Album was reissued in the 90s by Hot Productions. She did have a 12" on Ian's Nightmare label in 1987 but i have no idea what she's been up to since then, can't help wondering if she still performs ?

correction to previous post: Barbara Pennington's 1984 comeback hi-nrg classic 'All American Boy' did not actually appear on her 'Out Of The Darkest Night' album but was included as a bonus track on Hot Productions cd reissue !
