Hi Paul :D !

I luuuuuuuvvvvvvvv Lime.....yeah they may be a bumblegum group with vocals that's out of this world but they have a large fan base out there including moi :P !!! I think some people are afraid to admit that they like them for being accused of having cheesy taste. Anyway here's my choices cuz ya know I can't pick just one:

1.Angel Eyes
2.On The Grid
3.Unexpected Lovers
4.Lovely Angel
5.Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight
6.Say You Love Me
7.Your Love

*DISCO DELIGHT*

best song from Lime?? Hmmm this isn't easy.
Suppose i'll decide on "Unexpected Lovers" as my favorite Lime song. It is also the only Lime song I know!

To me Lime is one of those new acquintances I got to know only during recent years, since I wasn't a clubber at the time.

I must admit that I was somewhat suprised when I heard their products :P Nevertheless I also liked some of their tracks. As many before, Unexpected lovers and Your love are amongst my faves as well.

However, those not so keen on this 80's sound screem in agony when I play it

How can anybody not like such uptempo tunes

What’s wrong with over 130 bpm songs? A huge percentage of club hits are over 130 bpm, dancers used to love this music, locally we called them "high energy sets".

I used to play all Lime mentioned here and they were so popular on the local dance floors that I had double copies of them all and worked the crowds into a frenzy mixing the intros back and forth etc., you could always count on Lime to revive a floor and screaming masses always rushed the floor after just hearing the first few identifiable synch bars of "We gonna love tonight" or any of the other cuts.

The vocals were not the best and may put off some listeners today, (especially out of the 'Club' setting), but they worked at the time and perfectly matched the kind of fun club music they were creating, for all I know this may not be their real voices as I personally always believed the vocals were some kind of gimmick they tried that found an audience and worked in a similar vein as the B52 for instance.

My favorites cuts were "Your Love" and "Unexpected lover", around the same time a cut similar to “Unexpected..” titled "From a whisper to a scream" (?) was released to capitalize on Lime's hit sound and it was very popular too, I'll try to find it for fresh spin.

Hey. I just got the cd single with Your Love and Come & Get Your Love. I like it. I like it a lot. I guess I'm somewhere between Quinny and Delight, moving closer to Delight's position :D
Yeah, I know, I like Cocomotion so it makes sense right

Mixmachine,

If I affended you or anyone here...sorry about that. No personal malice was intended. Just for my personal taste, I don't particularly like much music beyond the 130 bpm. Plain and simple as that.

I always enjoyed Lime and always reminded me of great nights out here. They are completely unknown here unless you went to gay clubs. I think they were bigger on mainland Europe. For me my favourite is You're My Magician then after that I'd go with

GoldDigger
Your Love
Guilty
I Don't Wanna Lose You (I don't think this was released as a single but I remember hearing it in a bar in Sitges, Spain and fell in love with it)

Paul,

believe it or not... I found one Lime song that is decent... It's in a mix with other songs from a CD done by a DJ out of Los Angeles

You're My Magician
