| Hey Gang: In 1983 Patti Austin recorded the single "It's Gonna Be Special" for the John Travolta/Olivia Newton John reunion movie "Two Of A Kind". The song consist of a latin-carribean dance sound, which didn't seem to fit with the movie, but was a great dance song nonetheless. I used to play it at parties and it would help jam up the dance floor. Back in the days most radio stations would play the 12" version of the song, which lasted about 6-7 minutes. However, I have only been able to find the single version on one of Mrs. Austin's best of albums. Does anyone know were I can get the 12" on cd? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. DevP |

| To the best of my knowledge, no compilations of the extended dance versions of Patti Austin's stuff has been released on cd. I'd own it, if there had been. Paging Qwest--whatever happened to them, anyway?

| Wasn't Qwest part of A&M?? Quincy must have folded Qwest when A&M closed down or was bought or whatever happened. |

| Qwest was a Warner arm, wasn't it? Was 'Back On The Block' on Qwest? Maybe Siedah Garrett's solo stuff was, too. I could swear I saw a Qwest logo on the closing credits of 'Fresh Prince Of Bel Air' the other day. I don't actually watch it, so I don't know how old the shows are - but maybe that's what Qwest is all about now. I have to admit, I found 'It's Gonna Be Special' an intensely irritating record. Gimme the funky 'Voulez Vouz' any day!

| Quincy Jones is the executive producer of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air' TV show. He's also behind 'Vibe' magazine apparently. It seems that the great Q (the genius Mr.Jones that is, not our resident strings-loving sour puss!) has branched out into most areas of the media these days.
