Default New York state of mind

I recently decided to do a tribute tape to the 'spritual home' of disco & the city that never sleeps (I know, I'm so cliched!)

'You Get High In New York City' - Revanche (Atlantic 7" '79)
'Am I Ever Gonna Fall in Love In NYC' - Grace Jones ('78 Island LP - the high point from her Fame LP IMO)
'In New York' - Passion - (Prelude LP '79 Produced by Mr.Amant, Ray Martinez)
'Im Never Gonna Leave You (New York) - Gotham Flasher (Keylock LP '79 Co-produced by Gino Soccio)
'New York' - Nuggets (Canadian London, written by the Tantra team of Valli & Taylor)
'Fire Island' - Village People (dont go in the bushes! or maybe I will...)
'Manhattan Love Song' - King Errison (Westbound 12" - another wonderful Mike Theodore production)
'NY You've Got Me Dancing' - Andrea True Connection (her final decent disco moment)
'New York City Boy' - Pet Shop Boys (I know its not classic 'disco', but I just love 'em)
'Manhattan' - Roundtree (Warner '78 the classic Rogers & Hart song)
'I Love New York' - Metropolis (Salsoul CD comp. '78. Good but not as brilliant as 'Greatest Show on Earth')
'Cruisin The Streets' - Boystown Gang ('81 - well, they do mention Christopher Street!! )

Can anyone think of any more NY titles? I'm sure there must be hundreds.

Thanx for that, I've remembered yet another too - 'Night in New York' by Elbow Bones & the Racketeers from '83. It's got to be the most sung about city. Nobody ever does 'Night in Colchester' or 'We Love Felixstowe' do they?

What!!! No Miroslav Vitous - New York City. A much overhyped record if ever there was one, but hey! who am I to argue with trendies everywhere.

Wow, so many tracks, some I know & some I don't. I've just thought of yet another too, 'Harlem Nocturne' by Wildflower on TK records.
