Default Signs and Portents

The writing is on the wall. In it's November issue, the most influental trend publication in the world Wallpaper magazine reviewed 6 new cds. The word "electroclash" - the hottest music trend right now - was mentioned twice. The word disco got equal 2 mentions. The Landromat/L'Age D'O realese by Wir is described as containing "glittery Munich disco", and the music featured in the Nag Nag Nag comp from React label is said to "put a sleazy bomb under the tedious backside of British corporate nightlife" and to be all about "new wave, trashy disco and electroclash". While it's okay to read about "Trashy disco" it's the mention of Munich disco in the Wir text that is interesting. We have already been getting those Moroder-style 1977 analog synth sounds, could the electronic violins be next?

Yes , the Wir one. Hopefully you have been checking out other homages to Grand Masters that have been realesed, such as the Africanism comp and other Bob Sinclair stuff that pay respect to Cerrone.
