Hi there. I am a lover of all disco music, I do admit that I don't know many of the names of the songs. I know disco when I used to go disco rollerskating every weekend. I am here because I would like to learn more.

Hi Bernie and the disco lovers gang!

I'm a long-time lurker, first-time poster. I live in Florida and am a big (I mean, really HUGE!) fan of Alec R. Costandinos. Probably you can guess that just by looking at my nickname. Right now I am working on digitally restoring some of my favorite titles in my vinyl LP collection using Adobe Audition (formerly known as CoolEdit... long live Syntrillium!!). The collection is quite sizable -more than 1200 titles-, and I can only devote some of my weeknights and weekends to it, so I guess it's going to take some time. But it's all good... it just takes a little patience, and I really enjoy the whole restoration process.

I look forward to contributing with useful information and maybe some sound bites. Requests are more than welcomed.

Cheers!

-MS

Ok, well here it goes.......my name is Gino, born and raised in Los Angeles (Echo Park) ...... have been in the Navy 14 years next month (September), and trying to find what I sold (like an idiot) before going to bootcamp. I started to DJ in the summer of 1985, inspired by my junior high football coach "Orlando", from the old school group "Gemini" ,out of Los Angeles. I have reclaimed several records via E-Bay, with groups such as; Ramming Speed, Trilogy, Phaex, Fun Fun, Rofo, Touch of Class, etc.......you name it. I've yet to have in my possession however, songs such as; "Video Games", "Casa", "Time", "Destiny" (sung by a female whom which I never learned the name of)........to make a long story short, these were all blank labled by old school DJ's who, as we all know, just wanted to prevent other DJ's from "copying their material", so to speak. We all have our own style......but we were all inspired at one point......then grew from it. To this day I will always dedicate what I have learned to Orlando Martinez (Gemini).......So my hope is to find some old school DJ's in here who are into the old 80's Disco / Italo Disco / High Energy era, to get my (hobby) back up and running....because now....with a family.....I do it all at home, and to me it's all about making them tapes again! This is a great site, and there's a lot of knowledge in here........pass it on!!!!

Hello guys, I've just registered here at the forums.

I'm LSY from Belgium, a young music lover, collector and mixer.

I like many genres in music, from afro-percussion tracks to the Philly sound, from Syreeta to some italo, from Todd Terje to Donald Byrd and MAW.

Impressed by all the knowledge, rich content and good atmosphere here at the board, I'm looking forward to participating, giving feed-back and absorbing what information and opinions on our mutual love: disco.

Love is the message,

LSY.
