Hey all. Saw this thread in a search and thought I'd revive.

I'm only 35 and got into Disco on my own through dj'ing though my adult years at my house and at parties. I fully go into Disco when I dj'd at a Pollyester's in Denver about 6 years ago. Loved it during the good year or so I was there.

Since I'm a collector by nature (though not of vinyl) I love coming here and discovering all new obscure gems to collect and hunt down. It's a collector's paradise and a plethera of information. I'm not sure how much of it I'd venture on my decks during a show, but even if its for my ears only I love to add it to my arsenal.

Hi all,

found your site quite by chance, whilst looking for information on early 80's soul & disco.

Very impressed with what I've seen so far.

Brief Bio -

Born & Raised in SE London, first got into DJ'ing following my "career" as a teenage breakdancer  !

Put together my own "pause Button" mixes, then progressed to working in pubs, and doing the obligatory wedding, birthday, barmitzvah mobile gigs.

Then started working clubs in mid 80's mixing soul, rap, and early house as well as disco classics from the 70's.

Eventually did a short stint on pirate radio, before moving to East Anglia, and taking up residency in a couple of clubs in Newmarket & Cambridge.

Retired when Kids came into the picture, and now I've found a new lease of my mixing life thanks to Mixmeister software.

I'm a regular poster at beatmixing.com, and my mixes (including several Disco mixes) air there whenever I can find time to put a full mix together!

Looking forward to meeting the gang here!

All the best,

Default Hello

I came thru this site accidently while searching for few disco tunes of early 70's. I am hoping that this site would give me more indepth knowledge about disco history and tunes.

I was inclined towards disco since my childhood. I am looking for a disco tune to which I got hooked up when I was 3. Hope I will get somewhere by posting few queries.
