Not wanting to be a complete lurker. Hello, I'm Georges. I like the more 'cosmic' end of Disco best - things like Black Devil Disco Club, Black Mustang, Arpadys... I also dig Rinder & Lewis, Quango & Sparky and lots of other stuff. :)

Also, I will help in discussions if at all possible - but I have plenty of questions, also.

Just wanted to say 'Hi' to all on the forum, first post and all. Been collecting since the early 80's and I must say I love vinyl! Tastes anything with Soul, be it House, Disco etc. Esp into 70's/80's Rare groove, Modern Soul etc. Also love new Jazz lables like Schema, Socialised Beats & Ricky Tick. Originals only on collectibles, but prob do own a few represses and a booty or two. Hope to pick up one or two wants on the forum so I may get to that now...

Best wishes everyone...

Mike

Thumbs up Re: Lurkers To This Forum, Please Introduce Yourself

good day disco fans,

I was a amateur dj in the day (parties, college radio etc.) and a few years ago, I lost my collection of vintage records and test presses in a flood at a buddy's house. This is is a great site and has helped me re-coup some of my lost records.
However one still eludes me. I don't remember the band or the song anymore, but it is a late 70's very early 80's gay disco track. I guess age is catching up to me. I think gay infuenced disco of its time were some of the best pounding and most danceable tracks ever. The cover is a bunch of leather clad boys standing around a pinball machine. It may be a bit obscure since I have never known any of my dj buddies of the time to have one. If anyone knows who it is, I'd love to get my hands on a new one. If I heard or saw the name, I would know it right away. Best heart pounding raw disco song I have ever heard. Great with old Sound Crew subs!

till next time!

Hi to All
I am the classic and original disco maniac from 1975. My first but not last club was 2001 in BK and my home was the Penthouse.

hi all, I am definitely of the Old School, as in I had a dance club in the 80's in Dallas Tx called the Starck Club. I just happened upon a huuuge thread all about the Starck, the music we played, the concerts and bands we had, the DJ's, all my great friends!! I was so thrilled to run across this (recent) thread that I had to join DM to reconnect with my dance hall day pals in order to discuss my ongoing love for gooood music!
