New to this whole website / forum thing so forgive anything that doesn't make sense but look forward to joining in and sharing views about Disco music - after all Disco NEVER died - it merely hybernated for a while. I first went Disco crazy at intermediate school in NZ when everyone who wanted to be anyone did the "Harlem shuffle" or the "Hussle" - the line dances from Saturday night fever. I, like my class mates, was 11 yeasrs old when I learned the steps to this dance. From then on I was gripped by Disco music and still love and appreciate it because it is still around us in pop music even today - listen carefully.

Hello,
I'm from San Franisco. My favorite disco night is The Tubesteak Connection at Aunt Charlie's on Thursday nights. Bus Station John plays the best original and rare disco in town. It's a tiny club in the Tenderlion, but it's always packed and the music is always superb.

Shopping would be Amoeba and Rare Grooves...

Just wanted to drop a note to say hello...

greatest dancer! :)

Tito Puente was a legend and one that so many were proud of. Still play Dance Mania whenever I get a chance. I still remember seeing his grand-daughter Audrey Puente doing the weather on NBC4 in New York.

Take care and thanks for writing in.

Hi Y'all

Just introducing myself! DJ Snowy from sunny (!) Blackpool in the UK

Anyone know of a DJ called Dan Puturelli (I think that's how it's spelt)? He came from New York Record Pool in about 1982/1983 to Blackpool to play at The Touchdown when I started DJ'ing. He taught me to mix! and as a direct result I became one of the first members of the Disco Mix Club here in the UK.

I'd really love to know how he's doing. I was the young (17), spotty youth that was always in the background at the time!

Anyway

Cheers!

hello, Miestorm here
does anyone have any information about a disco group from the 70s called SPACE. I loved their music at that time, but cant seem to find anything, much less an album, on this band. I know they existed because I had the album in the early 80s, and a lot of my disco albums were stolen by an ex, that being one of them.
thanx

Hi!

I'm very glad!

I'm ordinary engeneer. But that's not all!!!

I'm real wild bear( joke) from far and cold Russia. I'm disco fan during a long time, from the age of 10. Sorry for my poor english. I understand something more than can say. I'm affraid that I'll be more reader than writer. But maybe I'll feel warm here and will be more brave to write something else.

I love music, like she is not a sound but alive human beeing, I'm music myself: there are people that are living with music, but i live in it.

Thank You so much!

Hello :)

I'm from Germany, from Solingen (where the good knives come from ;)).

I prefer disco music from the 70s and sometimes the very early 80s.

This year I started to collect disco-vinyl and my collection is growing...

Nice forum
