Tom had a brief mirrorball moment back in the 70's with his RESCUE ME album which offered an excellent discofication of Don't Cry For Me Argentina. This apparently did no business at all despite the kicking orchestration and the powerful vocals. Perhaps the colorful folding sleeve was considered too cheesy...but no, huge bulges in tight trousers, sweaty hairy naked chests or female figures crawling on the floor on all fours worshipping a male can't have raised many eyebrows in 1978.

I know where you're coming from Rab, his tight trousers & groin thrusting were the only thing I ever found appealing about Mr.Jones. I much prefer his daughter Grace! :D

I heard some of his new album today on NPR's Fresh Air. It sounds pretty good.

Actually, I seem to remember that 'Sex Bomb', his hit from a couple of years ago sampled Sister Sledge's 'All American Girls' quite heavily, so maybe he has got something to do with disco after all; sadly. :(
