Probably Voyage's "Lady America / Scotch Machine" from 1978 along with 1 or 2 KC and the Sunshine Band 12"ers.

This could be BlowFly, he covered many early Disco hits in x-rated style.

For UK audiences, the Lew Kirton and Universal Love 12"s have always been pretty scarce. A couple of the breakbeat 12"s, 'Get Up And Dance' by Freedom - and Ralph McDonald's 'Jam On The Groove' were never common to start with.

More than TK, I put its Bold subsidiary down as always having been a real bitch for finding anything on.

Forrrce,

I only have one release from Bold and that is Jesse Rae's "Desire." It is really bad and not worth looking for. I'll throw it into the Vault along with a label scan one of these days.

Bernie, I've had the Jesse Rae 12" and you're right, it's awful. I kept the sleeve, though - never seen another Bold cover - I just assumed there were more 12"s on the label by other artists. The one that really got me going was the F.A.T. LP on Bold, which I'd searched for since 1986 and finally got 2 years ago. In the meantime, it had been bootlegged but I still wanted an original.

Unfortunately, my copy of Jesse Rae has a generic white cover. I wasn't aware of a custom Bold cover. What exactly is the "F.A.T." LP? Never heard of that one.

Bernie, this is the F.A.T. LP. It's not very disco, though - it's more of a soul/R&B effort that's a little off-kilter.

Something else is living in that Jesse Rae sleeve at the moment and I don't know what it is. I can remember the design pretty well, though - it was black with the TK and (I'm sure) Bold logos.

Is 'Dance With Me' on US TK 12"? Always wondered about that one.

Add 'Reid, Inc.' to the Bold list of Holy Grails.

MIXTAPE CHARLES JOHNSON NEVER HAD A LOVE SO GOOD-ALSTON has to be in the running theyve all but dried up now and probibly you wouldn t find for less than 300 dollars, one of t.ks finest moments, however if you missed out the disco and said "what is t.ks rarest record" it would probibly be JIMMIE "BO" HORN [note the name spelling] I CANT SPEAK a really early dade release that would set you back upwards of $1,500 and sadly bootlegged in the u.k this very week

Lew Kirton "Heaven in the Afternoon" has always been a rare and collectable 12" from ths label.

Was Voyage "From east to west" on TK 12"? I saw it on e bay once, but it may have been a re-issue incorrectly listed.
