Hello everyone,

It must be said that I have been overwhelmed with the slew of e-mails and the postings on the forum regarding DGR. The thought that so many people would actually miss my little show never crossed my mind.

It seems inevitable that internet radio as we know it will forever be changed by our elected officials and greedy business leaders. As some of you know they want to enforce a provision of a 1998 law that would require small webcasters to pay huge licensing fees in ADDITION to those we currently pay to other authorities.

To add insult to injury they are asking us to furnish them with reports that over-the-air braodcasters don't have to file. These new record keeping proceedures require technology that we amateurs don't even have or could afford so it's not just the absurd high fees, but the impossible to do record keeping. This is on top of the other record keeping that we are currently required to send to other music authorities.

DiscoMusic.com is a labor of love that I devote many resources to and there is absolutely no way I can comply with the new law. It's ridiculous what they are asking us to give them and it's apparent that the industry is ill-bent on getting rid of the little guy by setting up roadblocks with the help of paid-off politicians.

Please accept my apologies, this whole thing has caught me off guard and thus I wasn't able to respond to everyone's concerns in the proper fashion. While I would love to continue DGR I thought it would be best to stop now and try and focus my energies on the rest of DiscoMusic.com. Hopefully, by as early as next week I will have replacements for DGR. This will include the reintroduction of the weekly Mystery Disco Songs and feature DJ mixes as well as other items. Stay tuned...

I'm currently wrapping up an in depth interview with New York DJ, John Ceglia of NY-NY, Bonds, Underground, Studio 54, River Club... which will include his awesome DJ mixes. I hope to have it "live" by week's end and will let everyone know when it's ready. It will contain lots of great info and music! Please keep checking the main page for more info.

In closing, I would like to thank everyone who so graciously took time to write in with their kind words of support. You'll never know how much that means to me. I would also like to thank all the DJ's who sent in their mixes to have featured. I'll still be featuring your mixes here with or without DGR so keep them coming in.

As long as I know that there are fans of the site out there, rest assured that I will continue to do as much as possible to keep Disco and dance music flowing here at DiscoMusic.com. Thank you all for your continued support.

Well, I never really visited the site for its Radio Station. It's too bad, thou, that some people want to do away with it. I'll keep visiting just the same. I've met some good people in here and even gotten to swap songs with a couple (the man from DownUnder and Mixmachine from Miami. I've also enjoyed the "discussions" we've had.

Keep the music alive.

Well Bernie,

AWSOME!!! F**K THE SUITS!!!!!!!! There is always a loop hole around their bullshit as they find ways to screw us in the same way. I will continue to send you mixes(my way of sharing my love and supporting the site at the same time). I'll be waiting for your solution.

Take Care Bro,

Jimmy M

Hi Bernie.

It's good to see you're not giving up without as fight. I wish you success in getting some radio show happening again.

As for those suit'n'tie arsewipes, I reckon they are a bunch of miserable old farts who care about nothing but money.

Go Bernie GO!!!!!!! Man Do I miss DGR. I used to tape it and listen to the cassettes in my car. (Hope da NY lowyas from da moozic industry don't git me for some type of violation)

THere are ways around calling it a web radio station. True true, the Napster kid got a little carried away and it kind of ruined it for a lot of people, but what the heck. I might start posting some of my mixes on my web site for all to listen and call it something subliminal so that only us disco people can hear it........

Keep up the great work Bernie!!!!!!! The greed of the entertainment and sports industry is just overwhelming! I mean do they still want royalties from "Do the Hustle?"

Mark:)
