Default lyric song trivia... guess these

1.

Living in a world of ghetto life
everyone around here seems so uptight
nothing's wrong it's alright, my man, my man!

2.

Why do I keep my mind
on you all the time
and I don't even know you
Why do I feel this way
thinking about you everyday

3.

Baby come as you are
with just your heart
and i'll take you in
You're rejected and hurt
to me you're worth...

4.

oh my baby i said a right now
now now now baby yeah yeah yeah
little darling I said
I love you so a right now
never never gonna let gonna let you go now now now
pretty little baby I said I want you
to try to understand ah that I'll be

5.

baby there's nothing hard about love
basically it's as easy as pie (guessing on the last word)
the hard part is living without love
without your love
baby, I would die

6.

Eddie was cop
on the inside of Chicago
back in the USA
back in the bad old days

7.

Follow me
why don't you come away
don't worry baby everything's ok
you can't run the game if you don't know my name
I'll take you where you've never been before

8.

Car won't start out of gas
check's past due reserves won't last
Caught the bus to go downtown
bus broke down.. downtown bound
left the bus to try a cab
driver said I want all your cash

P.S. I'm hoping Nicknack can get here in time to guess these... :P

I think I've got three of them..

1: "Givin' Him Somethin' He Can Feel"-Aretha Franklin and/or En Vogue.

2: "Natural High"-Bloodstone

3: "You Don't Have To Be A Star (To Be In My Show)"-Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr..

How'd I do??

everyone was correct... with the exception of a technicality on #8 ...

8. is Glide we are still missing the group

7. is still up for grabs... you guys ... that's an easy one.

4. is the hardest one of the bunch... I will give a clue to you... it's from the 60's by a solo artist who was a little chubby... :)

Efunk ---

Told you I was lousy at guessing songs by lyrics. Didn't even recognize Billy Stewart until you said it was him. Now you know I should've gotten that one...

This was a good, fun challenge you came up with. Don't quit now. :D
