| I just received information that Joel Whitburn has published a book compiling the Dance/Disco charts from Billboard Magazine from 10/26/74 through 7/5/03. I have read posts requesting old Billboard Disco charts. This may be of interest to those of you who want data on disco songs charted on Billboard. This book lists each artist and the songs in chronological order. Also all kinds of info on each song and how it did on the chart. The book is over 350 pages and is available from Amazon I do not have any relation with Whitburn but I do utilize some of his books and have since 1971. |

| Yes, this most anticipated and long delayed book is finally gonna be published in November. They are accepting pre-release orders now for the discounted price. It will be interesting to see how they compiled the info since the early charts are from NY and occasionally various other cities. | Why thanks Greg!!! :D I guess the actual weekly charts won't be there...just the stats for each song. But that will be fun to see everything that charted in a concise little list by artist. I have the R&B book by these people and it is FABULOUS!!!!! I refer to it constantly.

| Yep, they have books on all the different Billboard charts in hardcover (some in paperback, also). The R&B book is certainly still available--it was around $60, if I remember correctly.

| I don't think charts will be in the book. The summary of chart action by each song will be, but not the actual charts. |

| No, I realize it's just a summary by artist....but it lists the peak chart position and the date...by artist....and usually has a song section in the back by title alphabetically. This is handy when you are looking for songs--but don't know the artist. The charts themselves can be obtained..if you know the RIGHT people. Or so I've been told. :lol:

| Hey Marky: Come on. You have helped many of us to discover many obscure disco titles. You are not useless and you will always be very usefull because you have opened our eyes for those Bilboard disco charts. By the time you started typying I had already forgotten the charts and then you started to type it and we have rediscovered many "One Hit Only" disco artists. Thank you so much, Cheers, R Hessel |

| I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for this book... I said somewhere in a thread that this book is coming out. :) I have R&B singles 1942-1995 but i need to update it. Disco book has higher priority at the moment. bout frickin' time Joel :P |
