| Thanks for all the input. Of course, some of the artists we've mentioned recorded more than one record, but usually they only had one or two that most people remember. I wouldn't consider Roberta Kelly or Pattie Brooks in this league. Both had a handful of Big Club songs and several LP's. What about?: ANN JOY: "Love Now, Hurt Later" ( very good cover of the Giorgio & Chris tune) LINDA G. THOMPSON: "Flight To Fantasy" (a kicking Hi-NRG record that I remember from Trocadero) and YES, I KNOW that Linda, along with Penny McLean & another chick, was a part of Silver Convention. _________________ Make My Feet Wanna Dance! I've got the 12". I bought it hoping it would be a less-cheesy version of the flawed-but-brilliant Dee D. Jackson track. But it's infinitely worse. If you were to ask me what I thought was the worst disco track ever, this would get my vote! |

| I just thought of another one, and it is a really nice one, too: Delia Renee - You're gonna want me back

| The chicks of SILVER CONVENTION: The first three were unkown...but officially there was RAMONA WULF(LP/"Natural Woman"/76), LINDA G.THOMPSON & PENNY McLEAN. Then Linda left and instead of her there was RHONDA HEATH. About Linda: I remember several 7"es like "Ooh What A Night", "Come Softly", "Put A Little Love In Your Heart". About Rhonda: There was a 7" called "It hurts so good"(very nice track from 79). About Silver Convention: 1)"SILVER CONVENTION"(with "Fly Robin Fly" and "Save Me"/1975) 2)"GET UP AND BOOGIE"(1975) 3)"MADHOUSE"(1976/my favorite of them!) 4)"VOODOO NIGHTS"(LP/1977) 5)"LOVE IN A SLEEPER"(1978/LP) Then there are strange issues on 7" like: 1)SILVER STARS(Medley of their hits) 2)THE BOYS FROM LIVERPOOL(terrible Beatles- medley!) 3)CAFE AU LAIT(the last single of Silver Convention/1979) Cosmic Love & Kisses From SIRIUS & DARKTUNES |

| How about Noel - Dancing is Dangerous? I know that she was somehow connected with Sparks but she quickly (and maybe deservedly) disappeared. Is Alma Faye the same person as Alma Faye Brooks of 'Stop I don't Need No Sympathy' semi-fame? Taka Boom was who's sister? And what was her hit? Who was the singer behind Sex O'Clock USA? |

| Hey Disco77, I definitely agree that Noel should be on our list. I really like the Noel stuff, however. I think Sparks were heavily influenced from working with the Master, Mr. Moroder, and created some great dance tracks for Noel: "Dancing Is Dangerous" and "The Night They Invented Love" were both big at Trocadero in SF. I think we have now established that Noel was NOT one of the Mael Brothers (Sparks) in drag, right? I saw a picture disc of her LP at Amoeba and I wish I had picked it up. Now, I remember, a track on it titled "Is There More To Life Than Dancing?"--wasn't this covered by someone else--Midnight Powers or something on that black double LP from Canada with the Elton Motello "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" and "Spin It" by Sunbelt? That's what I'm remembering. As for Taka Boom, she is Chaka Khan's sister and sang the lead on the GREAT "You + Me" for Norman Whitfield's Undisputed Truth and had a few hits on her own: "Night Dancin'" and "Red Hot", I think. If I typed this stuff at home where I have my records, this stuff would be so much easier than trying to remember it , while I'm at work. duh.................. _________________ Make My Feet Wanna Dance! | I think that Midnight Powers song is "Dance (It's My Life)" from that double LP in 1981, Another great forgotten song from that album is "Show Me Yours" by Corruption.

| Boodi, you're probably right. Then, who did "Is there more to life than dancin/is there more to life" (deep-voiced male vocal)? I can just hear this tune in my head. Was it one of those bootleg mixes from the early '80's? I think I have it, but was the source recording the Noel track?

| I think I remember the "Is There More To Life Than Dancing" thing from a white label bootleg mix 12" I have from the early 1980's. I have to pull it out and listen again. Another forgotten Diva might be Vivian Vee. Now I only remember "Remember/Give Me A Break" and I have another 12" titled "Destiny"; I think she was a bigger star in Europe. Anybody? Oh, and Denise McCann from Canada with "Tatoo Man" and "I Have A Destiny".

| Marky--Vivian Vee also had a hit in the mid-'80s with an awesome hi-NRG tune called "Heartbeat (1-2-3)." I'm pretty sure it was an import, so maybe she was bigger in Europe than the U.S.
