Default AIR POWER

In the early 90's I've found here in Brazil a 12" A.V.I. import by a group called AIR POWER. There were 2 songs: Be Yourself & Welcome To The Disco. All songs are excelent (but unknown): they have a great melody, strings, horns, percussion breaks, female vocals... very 1978/79 disco type of sound... very AVI sounding. I would even dare to say it has a bit of the El Coco sound.

I look up for credits to try to find something about this "band" (Air Power) but appart from Galen Senogles, the sound engineer and producer, all the people involved were unknown to me.

So now I pass this enquire to you. Does anyone here knows anything about AIR POWER? Is there another 12"? Or maybe an album? Can anyone help?

Air Power's 'Welcome to the disco' was mixed by Rick Gianatos who was responsible for most of AVI's 12" mixes which explains why it sounds like El Coco or Eastbound Expressway's early stuff. I believe they were the brainchild of a guy called Donald Burnside who I've not heard of anywhere else.

Donald DB Burnside did loads of other stuff from that period. First Love, who did "Don't say good night" on Dakar in 1980, then an LP on CIM in 82 were produced by him. Some of the Captain Sky's AVI material has him on. I'm sure Forrrce can probably tell us of a few more Burnside productions.
