| Nonkel: It's a shame that 'The Basement' doesn't have a more focused theme. One week it's out and out Disco (like above) another it's just a load of old records that nobody would ever want to hear again. I think 1Xtra could be a little more generous in the time it gives to old, 'Old Skool'. After all, one hell of a lot of their normal output is sampled from it. This reminds me somewhat of the Modern Jazz vs. New Orleans Jazz confrontations that I still hear to this present day. Goodness me, I'm sounding like an old 'stick in the mud'. :D These two lists are hardly inspiring, which has surprised the hell out of me, knowing what esteem Mr. Krivitz is held in. Perhaps there's hope for me yet!!! Naaaaa, I forgot, I haven't got a name I can impress people with. Bitter...no, perplexed....yes. I live in hope. |
