Default Best From Artist 47 - Love Togetherness and Devotion

I really like this band and Jeffrey Osborne never sounded any better than when he was a part of this band.
Any way I have boat loads of best froms but I'll narrow it down to 4
Two that are grinding love ballads are "We Both Deserve Each Other's Love" and appropriately "Love Ballad."
The disco jams are "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again" and "Holding On."
By the, for those who missed it, the artists are LTD.

My favorite by LTD just happens to be the song "Love Ballad"...that song has always had a special meaning to me... one of my top ballads of all time..

others of note:

We Party Hearty

and every once in a while

Back In Love Again
I like it more when it's from a mix

Hey Paul :D

This is a group that I forgot all about. I remember my aunt "running their songs in the hole", one good thing is that I liked LTD. Anyway here's my pick:

"Where Did We Go Wrong"
"Stranger"

My favorite pick from Jeffrey's solo hits is:

"You Should Be Mine(Woo Woo Woo Song)"

Paul

When I first saw the thread Love Togetherness & Devotion, I thought that you made a mistake and typed in the song instead of the artist. Silly me didn't know the full name of LTD until today.

I think some of us talked about LTD some time ago...can't remember where :-?

Favorite Jeffrey Osborn led track: Holding On (heh  no suprise there)

Many dismissed the last LTD album "Love Magic" (1981) (without Jeffrey) but thruth is that there's some amazing cuts on it.
Burnin' Hot
&
Kickin' Back
are probably my favorite LTD songs of all time.

Wouldn't class myself as a fan, but tracks by them I played a lot were
'Love To The World'
'We Party Hearty'
'Cuttin' It Up' (nod to the late General Caine)
and an instrumental whose title eludes me...though it has the vocal refrain "remember now, I told you when I left you, to watch your step 'cause I'll be coming back". I've looked for (but can't find) my LP, but it has a black cover with the band's name in red. Someone help me with this, please...?

My absolute fave is "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again". I thought this was just a so-so song when it was a radio hit in 1977...then a few years later I danced to it at Troc and was floored by what a great dance tune it was. Those horns, that bassline, that vocal!!!!!!!!! (This was a Grey & Hanks composition produced & arranged by Philadelphia Int. player Bobby Martin)

We hit the floor at Troc around 5:00am after a disappointing Galleria party (we went home and showered and changed ) and this was playing and I got a "second wind" that I haven't forgotten to this day. I was on FIRE!!!!! :D

I could never find the 12" single version until I got it on one the CD Greatest Hits comps.

"Holding On (Til Love Is Gone)" is another goodie and "Love Ballad" is the slow groove I prefer.

As for Jeffrey Osborne's solo career, these come to mind:

"Plane Love"
"Stay With Me Tonight"
"The Borderlines"
"You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)"
and the ballad "On The Wings Of Love".
